Meet Wishart

Lived Experience Consultancy

Let’s talk openly about mental health.
We all have it—it’s simply part of being human. Some of us, myself included, have experiences that fall outside what’s classified as “normal.” I believe it’s time to unravel the idea of “normal” and recognize that living with a mental health experience is not only valid, but worthy of celebration. Our lived experience has unique value, and we all deserve dignity and respect in society.

Through this website, blog, and my consultancy work, I’m inviting a wider conversation.
I’m here to help individuals, teams, and organizations move beyond stigma and towards new, more human-centered models of understanding mental health. Whether your experience has been big or small—or you’re simply curious about how we can create true equality—I welcome you. Together, we can foster new perspectives, practical change, and spaces where all lived experience is valued.

If you’re seeking consultancy support—whether for yourself, your team, or your community—I’d love to collaborate.
Let’s co-create a world where honesty, acceptance, and real stories reshape what “mental health” means for everyone

A Little About Me

I’ve experienced what it’s like to fit seamlessly into “normal” society—from gaining a university degree and working as an NHS mental health staff member on inpatient wards, to serving as a Prison Officer, directing a Limited Company, and working at the front lines of a well-known mental health charity.

But I’ve also lived on the other side: being hospitalized twice due to periods of unshared reality, then rebuilding my life from the ground up. The first time, I felt I had to hide my story out of fear—afraid of judgment, stigma, and what would happen if I spoke out. This time, I’m determined to celebrate my lived experience, bring it into the open, and expose the subtle and not-so-subtle discrimination people face after hospitalization.

This website, blog, and my consultancy work are about creating a new path forward. I want to include everyone in this discussion—yes, you, me, and all of us. We’re all part of this society, and it’s time to put lived experience, dignity, and respect at the heart of how we do mental health together.

Sovereign Facilitation

I don’t come with a rigid framework or a neat solution.

I come with presence.

My approach is what I call sovereign facilitation — guiding transformation from a place of deep intuition, lived experience, and grounded truth. It’s about creating space, not control. Listening deeply, not prescribing. Trusting the natural intelligence of people, teams, and systems to reveal what’s ready to emerge.

I’m not here to fix. I’m here to hold, witness, reflect, and invite.

The work unfolds in its own time. And I trust I’ll know when to act — and when to stop.

This is leadership as alignment, not performance.

It’s quiet, powerful, and alive.
